Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that treats the whole person, including the body, emotions, mind and spirit to balance and energise the body.

What happens during a Reiki treatment?

The treatment is given lying down on your back, fully clothed, and usually in silence. Some emotional releases may however benefit from you and I dialoguing to resolve issues.

Most treatments are an hour in length and I will lay my hands on your body in a sequence that follows the main Chakra centres of the body. The hands are left in each position for about 3 to 5 minutes.

I will be offering a flow of “Universal Life Force” into the Chakras with the assistance of ancient Japanese symbols to focus energy into specific places. It will be up to you as to whether you choose to accept the healing and how your body uses the healing energy. You may or may not feel the energy being passed to you. There is however an overall feeling for letting go and relaxation that may also be accompanied by tingling sensations or memory recall.

Healing comes from within each of us and I am the facilitator of the healing process by providing the additional healing energy.

What may happen after a Reiki treatment?

It is hoped that at the end of a treatment you will feel renewed, revitalised, balanced and more able to cope with the future. You will have had a chance to take whatever healing you needed in whatever way you needed it. It is important to sit still for a while after a session to prevent dizziness and to drink some water.
